Weekend Review Mar 29

by Conor Kelly — Mar 30, 2026

Another action-packed weekend for Salthill Devon across all age groups! From league titles to interleague success, our teams showed great character and skill. Here’s a roundup of the weekend’s highlights.

U15 Boys Division 4 Team Crowned League Champions!

That’s a wrap on the final game of the season against Cregmore. It was a tale of two halves, with the wind playing a big part. Our lads took a little time to work Cregmore out, but they made a strong start. Sebi Todosi opened the scoring inside the first ten minutes, and great work rate in midfield then created the chance for Eoin Conellan to add the second. In the second half, more opportunities came and the team made them count, adding four more goals through Robert Matei, Cian Parker, Liam McDonagh and Macdara Folan. The result secured the league title for this incredible group of lads. It has been a great blend of two age groups training together throughout the season, with a lovely mix of ability, character and growth. A big thank you to the coaches for their seamless work all season. While winning the league is genuinely exciting and a fantastic achievement, the biggest win by far has been the development and growth of this group. Divisional Cup games await.

Massive massive win for the U13C boys today in Drom. We had home advantage after St Bernards had a waterlogged pitch earlier in the season. The lads played exceptionally well and took the lead only for a silly mistake to let Bernards back level. We went 2-1 up at HT. Another silly error let them level with 10 mins to go. A late late winner from a corner for the lads had us 3-2 deserved winners. Thanks to Marek, Liam and Martin who took charge today while we are in Manchester with the girls team!
