Girls U14 Premier Division team put on a terrific display v Colga on pitch 1 today and managed to overcome a very strongly fancied side who are possible title contenders. Great teamwork across the board and Erin and Saoirse benefitted with a goal each from this build up play to prevail 2-1 in the end. These girls have come a long way since they were wee nippers in the cages. Well done to them!

Busy week for our U11As with the final three group games of the Kevin Power Cup played over just 7 days. The lads put in outstanding performances against Knocknacarra, Mervue and Oranmore to finish the group phase undefeated. Brilliant football on display across all three games. They carry strong momentum into the semi-finals in April, with a home fixture secured after topping the group!

U11 Boys B Team Secure Semi-Final Spot with Great Home Win!

The Under 11B boys had a great home win in their final league game today against a very strong and well organised Bohs side. This result should see a semi-final spot secured for this group which is a great outcome given THREE of the players suffered fractures through the season. A lot more to come from this group!

U10 Girls B Team Shine in Home Match Against Athenry!

The Under 10B girls had a fun evening in Drom where they hosted Athenry Under 10As and as this photo shows they gave their all and had smiling faces at the end. One league game left for these girls and they have played some fantastic football throughout the season!

U12s made it through to the semi-final of the Connacht Cup against Oranmore on Saturday. With a great team goal as a opener, goals were scored by Ansou Sylla-Villacastin, Max Dolan and Senan Tarmey. Great team work throughout helped the team get through to the next round!

U16 Boys C Team Celebrate 3-0 Victory Over Kinvara!

Scoreless at half time, Kinvara started second half well and put us under lots of pressure early winning a penalty. Young Thomas Byrne showed calmness beyond his 13 years and dived to his left to beat away the kick. He made a few more top saves and claimed plenty of high ball before Conaill O’Shea broke away onto a Keady through ball and buried a shot. We made it 2-0 in similar fashion as this time O’Malley clipped a ball in and O’Shea again was clinical as he shot high to the roof of the net. Again after some lovely football O’Shea again sprinted clear and from a tight angle clipped the ball over the keeper’s head onto the post and Touy was on hand to smash home much to the delight of the travelling support. 3-0! Great performances all around but Byrne in goal just shaded the man of the match award for his constant talking throughout.

What a fantastic weekend of football! Keep up the brilliant work across all teams. Check out this week’s fixtures to see when you can catch the next games!
