Weekend Review 3/11
Another fantastic weekend of football for Salthill Devon F.C.! Our teams delivered some incredible performances, showing great skill, teamwork, and determination across all age groups. Let’s dive into some of the highlights:
U16B Boys Secure 2-0 Victory Over Tuam Celtic!
Our U16B Boys delivered a solid performance, defeating Tuam Celtic 2-0. Dean Pender and Bobby Doyle found the net to secure the victory. A well-deserved win for the lads!
U12A Boys Impressive Double Victory at Home!
The U12s welcomed Aisling Annacotty and Temple Villa to Drom this afternoon. With the Devon team winning both games 2-1 and 2-0. Many congratulations to our captains for the day, John Behan and Daniel Hickey. Goals coming from Jack Conway, Daniel Kelly, Ben Grimes and triple points for Daniel Hickey scoring as captain. Parents played a great supportive role with refreshments served for all travelling teams.
U12A Boys shine in a 4-2 win over Ballaghdereen!
Salthill started very brightly and full of energy scoring two early goals from Thomas Maguire and Ansou Villacastin. Salthill dominated possession and created numerous chances, so very good saves from the Ballaghdereen keeper kept the score at 2-0, then goals from Dylan Devitt and John Behan made it 4-0 by half time. Ballaghdereen pulled two goals back in the 2nd half to make it a more competitive 2nd half. Overall very good performance from this young side. Great assists from Thomas McGuire, John Behan, and Jack Conway.
