Weekend Review 17/11
Another fantastic weekend of football for Salthill Devon F.C.! Our teams delivered some incredible performances, showing great skill, teamwork, and determination across all age groups. Let’s dive into some of the highlights:
U14 Girls Delight in Double Victory Weekend!
Whatever about Budapest, the real action was in Drom and Headford today. A very good day for the Girls U14 Division 2 team who prevailed against a hard working Loughrea team. Team doing so well right now.
In the other match, the Girls U14 Cup team are through to the next round of the Irish Cup after a very impressive showing versus an always well organized Moyne Villa team.
The Division 2 team won 5-0 with goals from Elise Kelly (2), Alice Dempsey, Muireann Keane, and Teaghan Grant. The Cup team won 5-1 with Saoirse Ginty leading the scoring with a hat-trick, and Roisin McNeill and Rachel Watson each finding the net. A fantastic performance from both squads!
U16B Boys Secure 3-1 Victory Over Barna at Drom!
U16B Boys claimed a 3-1 win against Barna in Drom today. Great performance from the lads!
U16 Girls Excel with 4-1 Irish Cup Win at Westport!
Great 4-1 win versus Westport away today for our U16s. Into Irish cup last 32! Good day all round for Devon girls!
U16B Girls Celebrate 5-0 Win Over Colemanstown!
U16B girls had a 5-0 win against Colemanstown earlier today at Drom. Goals from Róise Hevican (c), Zoe Alexander, Jane Carroll, Saoirse Kelly Moravil and Bianca Eremia. Well done girls!
U12D Boys Shine in 3-2 Victory Over League Leaders Craughwell!
Great performances this morning from the U12 D team, beat league leaders Craughwell 3-2, boys really coming on, real team effort and some lovely football played. Thanks to Jason, Franny & Neil and also a big shout out to Anthony, pitch was in super shape & everything looked after for us!
Devon Players Star for Galway League U12s!
Jamie Holland and Jack Conway represented Galway League U12s with distinction today. 4-0 winners away to Sligo / Leitrim. Well done boys!
John Behan and Sean Mulkerrins who represented GFA U12 on Saturday in a 2-0 win. Fantastic representation from our Devon boys!
Devon Players Shine for Galway Town Teams!
Great display by the Galway Town White U13 team today as they had a comfortable win versus the Mayo League today. Three of our lads had a major role in this win. Charlie was very solid in central defence as usual, Finn controlled the midfield and Elliott caused endless problems for the Mayo defense. Well done lads!
Well done to Evan and Daniel Lydon today who put in massive performances for the Galway Maroon Town U13 team versus the Mayo League. Evan scored a fantastic opening goal and was a constant threat to the Mayo backline. Brilliant effort. Daniel was solid as usual winning all his 50 50 battles. It was a close contest with Mayo going away with the points. Many more matches to come!
U8s Enjoy Fantastic Blitz with Neighbours!
