Salthill Devon Joins New FAI National League
We are pleased to announce that our application to be part of the new Football Association of Ireland (FAI) National League has been successful. As a founding member of the National League, we look forward to working collaboratively with the FAI and all other clubs in what is a significant step for football pathways and player development.
Salthill Devon sees this new third tier in senior soccer as a logical step on the player pathway. It will provide the club with a clear line of sight and route from our academy to the highest level of the domestic game.
The amateur senior league will further present an opportunity to the players who reach that level to have clear visibility to the professional game should they have the ability and inclination to test themselves at that level.
From its outset, Salthill Devon has always been ambitious both on and off the field.
The National League 3rd Tier heralds an exciting new dawn for Irish soccer and we welcome this significant advance that allows grassroots clubs like Salthill Devon be fully integrated into the player pathway and structures of the senior game.
