U17’s – National Champions
Salthill Devon Under 17 Girls are National Champions. They beat Claremorris at Deacy Park on Sunday night last, on penalties after a 1-1 draw. The shootout was staged in appalling conditions but the Salthill girls kept their composure to become champions.
Great Credit is due to the coaching team of Shane Fitzgerald, Steve Stone and Alan McNevin who really got the best out of their players.
