Frosty Weekend – but a good one

Niamh Fahey has been named the Galway Sports Star for soccer for the fourth time; Niamh who captains Liverpool and has amassed well over 100 Caps for Ireland was a former star at SDFC. At the other end of the scale Saoirse Ginty and Erin McCartan were ‘doing the business’ for the Galway League at EDP. Following in the footsteps ,did I hear you say?
Star turns this weekend were Michael McCartan’s U13 girls who had their first taste of Futsal and came away with an ‘All Island’ cup. The tournament was staged in Abbots Town and was hosted by Ballyoulster United – great credit to them and many thanks for the invitation to participate; https://www.ballyoulsterunited.com/
