A Busy Weekend on the Pitch

It was another busy weekend for the club Click Here for all the weekend results.  The 1st team had a great win the Premier league to maintain their top spot, while the Women’s first team travelled to Westport and cam away with a great 3-1 win in the Connacht Cup. There were also big wins for the U13 Girls and the U10 girls on Sunday morning.

Four members of our under 12 Squad have been selected for the Galway Town squad,  – Finn Hevican, Lennox Gillespie, Evan and Daniel Lydon.

SDFC U12’s (Rachel & Aoife) played their 3rd match for Galway Town Saturday, away to Clare and topped the group with an  11 – 0 win

U13 A’s (top) had a touch day losing 3-2 to Mervue, while the 13B had a great 4-1 win over Athenry

Women’s team win 3-1 away in Westport in the Connacht Cup – great result

Under 13 C 1-2 win away to athenry, hard first game back after the break despite things not going their way came back from 1-0 down in the first couple of mins to win 1-2

Under 11’s had a great win in the local derby in a foggy Drom on Saturday evening
